Cheese ball recipe!

My mother in law makes the best cheese balls! So it finally got to the point I told her I need that recipe! To my surprise it was very simple and you don't need a ton of ingredients:

1 cream cheese
1 packet of ranch dry mix dressing
4 oz of sour cream
8 oz of shredded cheese
Nuts of your choice

You mix the first 4 ingredients I personally found it easier to hand mix than with a spoon and I rolled mine in crushed pecans will probably try crushed walnuts next time. Mine isn't the prettiest creation but it sure is yummy and toll house has new cracker stix out that goes perfect! Enjoy! I'm off to make a hot tea and bake chocolate chip cookies and sew a few flower blocks together 💗

My heart is full..

I just couldn't help but feel so blessed this morning as I watch my two boys give their morning hug to each other in so glad they have each other and they look so much alike! People joke and call them twins quite often lol. Well the Sunday morning rush has begun so I must sign off 😆

I'm back!!!!

Wow a lot has happened since the last time I've blogged... We sold our house in MO and moved back (home) West Virginia and now in the process of buying a home I absolutely love!! And it's sooo hard to believe I have a 9 year old and an almost 2 year old!! This lovely pillow I made if for my future porch swing ... I took a miss Kate charm pack and made half triangles and just randomly placed them.. I'm very tickled how it turned out 💗

Blessed life

Thanking God for all his blessings this morning, I've gone through many storms as well but I can still see the hand of God and know he's working it for my good! With Gods help I plan on getting my etsy shop up and running and blogging more in the near future!

I've been very busy homeschooling and with a new baby this year but I wouldn't trade all the crazy business for anything. 💞

homeschooling...5 weeks in!

This year we started our first year of homeschooling (1st grade)  with Abeka curriculum. I must say I really like it. It is challenging some days but soo worth it! I love to see him ace his tests and really "get" it. I love the flexibility of scheduling as well. It doesn't hurt that Isaiah is already a good reader and catches on to things very quick! This week I am 8 months pregnant so it will be interesting to see in a few weeks with the new baby how we will adapt but I feel confident that we will iron out all the wrinkles in a few weeks time.

blessings

It has been crazy chaotic last couple of weeks or months I should say but I think I am seeing a silver lining of calm coming our way. My son had to have a minor surgery and we're so glad thats over and hes feeling better from that and he suffers from GERD or acid reflux and had a horrible flare up that has lasted weeks and was put on a differ medicine but he seems to be doing a lot better and I am believing God is going to fully heal him! I am also happy to announce we are expecting another child this coming fall! There will be a 7 year age gap between he/she and our son but it is fun to start all over again. I've had to give up my sewing room and it is being turned into a nursery but I cant think of a better reason to give it up :) My sewing machine is now in the living room but I kind of like that better since I can keep a better eye on things ;)
I fear I have gotten behind on housework from all the craziness and night sickness and exhaustion but as I go into my 2nd trimester I pray that calms down. I have lost 8 pounds and gained one back but I am doing well with the weight part of it and pray that my 2nd and 3rd trimester goes just as good. Ive also have had 3 ultrasounds on our lil peanut and its growing like crazy. We should know in June what we are having. Everyone is saying its gonna be a girl lol so we will see. I have started on a new quilt so if its a girl I will be set there and I have a boy quilt top made already it just needs quilted.

We are still doing house renovations my husband laminated the living room and hallway floor but we took out the baseboards and those need to be replaced still and Isaiahs room still needs painted. Keith is doing an overhaul on the garage so all my sewing items can go in there to make room for baby, then that room needs painted and our room and bathroom needs painted still. wooo I told him he has 6 months to get all this done and hes a procrastinator somewhat so this concerns me. We had plans to landscape the outside but this will have to wait till next year sadly too much to do and too little time.

God Bless ,

Yellow yellow wow!!!

I love the color yellow!!! A lot!! I love to use it in quilts as well & it does not deter me that most quilters stay away from that color either. Soo nobody was surprised I chose yellow for the new paint in my house. It is iced lemon better homes & gardens . It's so clean, fresh & brightens up the place. We still have the kitchen to finish & my hub promised to do that on Monday it would have been finished sooner but a cold struck me yet again :( but so far we have the living room , & hallway in yellow & we did our bathroom in sea foam which is also BHG it's more like a light minty green. Soo that leaves our sons room (blue) our bedroom (coffee cream) and the other bathroom (sea foam) to tackle (big sigh) then Lord willing laminate floorings will be out in by end of spring hallelujah !!
